A heart wavering in loneliness and despair
Lost in quaking fear as shadows overtake the path
So her life that once was is set for unwelcomed change
Imitating the weather as unpredictable as it is.
The home she once knew is no more
As time passes, her heart still lingers behind
As moments of joy pass on
For the shadows creep in.
The path is hidden from her view
The way she once knew is lost forever
A new path she must journey through
Happiness has moved on into a place she can’t follow.
Uncertainty takes firm hold of her
Uneasiness like the days before a storm
As quickly as the weather calls for change
So changes the path she journey’s through.
Unpredictability is her constant companion
She refuses to stay down or give in
Uninvitedly the storm remains firm
With a smile she continues to see the silver lining.
Depsite the sadness and loneliness that lingers within the darkness
As she focusses her attention to the light
Through the consuming shadows up ahead there is relief.
